Weaverville Veterans Memorial Hall
The Dream Makers Gala and Auction is a partnership between the Weaverville Rotary Club, Weaverville Lions Club, and Trinity County Soroptimist International.
This year, Gala proceeds will provide college and vocational scholarship to Trinity High School graduates and help to fund much needed improvements to our beloved Weaverville Veterans Memorial Hall.
The historic Memorial Hall, originally known as the Civil Defense Hall Building, is one of two such facilities in California constructed post-Korean War. The hall has been a multi-use facility, including housing the county’s Veteran’s Services Department and for numerous community activities and events. During its years of use, the Veterans Hall has been generally maintained, but has never had any significant upgrades or improvements.
You can support this fundraising effort by
- becoming a Gala sponsor
- donating an item to the silent and live auction
- attending the Gala and bidding on auction items
- making a direct donation to the Gala fund
The Gala event is a dress-to-impress party, with local restaurants, winemakers, and brewers serving delicious food and fine beverages. The event includes silent and live auctions, and we hope to have Senator Mike McGuire serving as our special guest auctioneer.
The Silent Auction will feature 20+ items and the Live Auction will take bids on approximately 15 unique items. Auction item donors will be recognized for their gracious support of this fundraiser event.
The Weaverville Rotary Scholarship Foundation is the Gala’s fiscal sponsor. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, therefore donations qualify as a charitable tax deduction. EIN: 68-0108505
