Almonte’s Empanadas, at 80 Nugget Lane, serves empanadas with a variety of fillings wrapped in Almonte’s freshly prepared each day and made-from-scratch dough recipe that she has perfected over the years. Flavors range from the more classic shredded beef and chicken to pizza-style empanadas, vegan options and more, all infused with Almonte’s own mixture of flavors inspired from the Dominican, Honduran and Cuban cooking she grew up around.
